Alma
Owner / Founder / BCBA
Alma has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2014 but she began shaping the steps of her career two decades ago when she started her undergraduate studies in Special Education in Monterrey Mexico. After moving to the United States in 2006, Alma worked directly with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a College Station ISD school. Alma’s growing interest in learning more about this population and continuous desire to help families, led her to earn a Master’s degree in Autism and Developmental Disabilities from The University of Texas at Austin in 2013. Throughout her career, Alma has had the opportunity to learn from and coach wonderful clinicians while leading teams of different sizes in centers, homes, and school settings. Alma’s devotion to help families and mission to foster happy and confident clinical teams was the reason Shaping Steps ABA was born.
